שימו שמן
המשימה –
למצוא הפעלות מהנות לילדים בחנוכה (וגם לכתוב על זה בבלוג של שרון…)
מגבלות –
1. אמא מותשת ועצלה
2. ילדים לא חובבי יצירה
3. ניסיון נואש להימנע מטיגון, קלוריות , וכל מה קשור באוכל של חנוכה.
תוצאות – היה לא קל…אבל הצלחנו ואפילו היה כיף

– mission
to find fun activities for children during hanukkah
(and to write about it on sharon's blog )
– limitations
exhausted and lazy mother –
children are not a fan of creation –
,desperate attempt to avoid frying, calories
.and everything to do with hanukkah food
Results – it was not easy … but we made it and even had fun

כל כך הרבה אנחנו מנפחים לילדים את הראש עם כד השמן, ונס השמן, ומנורת השמן,
ואז אנחנו מדליקים איתם נרות שעווה ושומרים את השמן רק לטיגונים….
השנה ממש רציתי לעשות עם הילדים איזו שהיא פעילות יצירתית שגם תראה להם איך
פעם המנורות היו באמת משמן…
,we inflate our kids heads with stories about a jar of oil
,and the miracle of the oil, and the oil lamp
….and then we light wax candles and keep the oil just for frying our food
this year I really wanted to do with some sort of creative activities with my kids
…that will show them how the oil lamps were once really lit with oil
כמובן שמיד חשבתי על חימר, אבל אני בחורה די עצלה, ולכן מיד המשכתי לחשוב –
חימר? ללכת לקנות? והלכלוך? והתחושה המגעילה שנשארת על הידיים…?
ואז הזדמנתי עם הילדים לחוות רות ליד מודיעין לסיור חנוכה, (מומלץ)
שם זכינו להכין מנורות שמן אישיות מ…בצק.
מכינים בצק מקמח מלא – ככה הוא יוצא אגב בגוון חום שמזכיר חימר,
נותנים לילדים כדור בצק וכל שנותר להם זה לדחוף אצבעות ולהפוך את הכדור לקערית –
כשהשאיפה היא שהקערית תהיה בצורה של מעין משפך , ואופים.
לוקחים כותנה (שזה מגניב – אבל אם אין לכם אפשר צמר גפן), ומכינים פתילים,
ממלאים את קערית הבצק האפוי בשמן זית, שמים בקערית את הפתיל כאשר רק חלק
קטן שלו מציץ החוצה (גם החלק שבחוץ צריך להיות ספוג בשמן), ו מ ד ל י ק י ם !!
אם הילדים שלכם לא חזקים בסבלנות ויצירה (כמו שלי) מדובר בפעילות קצרה,
פשוטה ומניבת תוצאות, אם הילדים שלכם מחובבי היצירה, אפשר להכין ככה חנוכייה שלמה,
ולהשקיע בצורה שלה וכמובן אפשר גם להכין ביחד את הבצק.

– so then i thought
?clay? go buy? not to mention the dirt
?…and feel disgusting remains on their hands
(then i happened to be with the kids at "havat ruth" (close to modiin

.there each of us made a personal oil lamp from … dough
,we prepared a whole wheat pastry- so it goes way resembling brown clay
they gave the children a ball of dough and all thay had to do
. was push their fingers and make the ball into a bowl
. the actual goal is a to shape a bowl in the form of a kind of a funnel, and bake
then they took cotton (it's realy cool – but if you don't have real cotton
,( you can also uses cotton wool
.and rolled it into threads
then filled the bowl of baked dough with olive oil, placed our cotton thread
in the bowl and left only little part of it peeking out
(even the part left outside should be soaked in oil)
! and L I G H T
(if patience and creativity are not your kids strongest sides (like mine
-then it's perfect for them
, in a short time, you get simple and generating results
,and if your children are more creative and fond of the work
you can make an entire menorah and invest your time and efforts in making it
. your own unique way and of course you can also prepare the dough

כמה רעיונות נוספים שאהבתי לפעילות עם הילדים –
1. סביבונים – זוכרים שסביבון אמור להיות משחק? האמת שאני חושבת שחנוכה בלי סביבון עץ פשוט הוא לא חנוכה.
חוץ מתחרות סביבונים פשוטה, אפשר לעשות משחק משימות משפחתי – 
למצוא לכל אות של הסביבון משימה, אצלנו זה היה:
נ – נשיקה (צריך לנשק את כולם)
ג – גלגול (כן..לעשות גלגול)
ה – "הולה הולה" (שזה אומר לעשות ריקוד טיפשי להנאת הקהל)
פ – פזמון – לבחור שיר חנוכה ולשיר ביחד.
2. צלליות – משחקי אור וחושך הם דבר מקסים, אני קניתי לילדים פנסים וזכיתי בשעה של ריקודי פנסים בבית מוחשך,
15 ש"ח לפנס ושעה חופש לאמא – נשמעת לי עסקה מצוינת.

? dreidels – remember dreidles should be swirled and played with –
.i actually think hanukkah without simple wooden dreidels just isn't hanukkah
-other then simple competing dreidels, you can make a family game of tasks
:find a task that begins with each letter on the dreidel, we did
( kiss "neshika" (should kiss all members of the family – נ
( roll "gilgul" (Yes.. Done rolling – ג
(the "hula hula" (which means to dance a silly dance to the crowd's pleasure – ה
. chorus "pizmon" – pick a hanukkah song and sing together – פ
, shadows – playing with lights and darkness is a lovely game –
i bought the kids flashlights and won an hour of dancing lights
. in a darkened room
– a price of 15 shekels for a flashlight and an hour of mommy free time
sounds like a good bargain to me

3. אם כבר עוסקים בתאטרון, אפשר להמחיז עם הילדים את "גברת קרש ומר מערוך",
לקנות להם כלי עץ, בדים, עיניים דביקות וכד', להכין את הדמויות ולהציג
הנה למשל הכף של ירדן
(כן, אני יודעת שאין כף בסיפור, אבל למה לא לאלתר?)
הכף נראית מעט פוזלת וגם המומה, אולי כי היא נותרה ללא פה? מי יודע,
אולי נשלים אותה מחר.
